Children of Eden was first produced at the Prince Edward Theatre in the West End of London on 8th January 1991, produced by Children of Eden (UK) Ltd and Atlantic Overtures, with a Royal Gala attended by HRH Diana, Princess of Wales on the 15th January. It first played in the US at the Mill Mountain Theatre, Roanoke, Virginia, opening on the 29th November 1991 and has subsequently enjoyed many hundreds of productions, both professional and amateur in the US and all over the world. The original cast recording of the London production (by London Records) is much-sought-after but very hard to obtain. The US cast recording of the Papermill Playhouse production (Millburn, New Jersey) can easily be obtained in theatre record shops and online. Children of Eden is published by Music Theatre International (MTI) in New York.
